Basic Function was formed in 2003, but the early beginnings of Basic Function stem back to 1997 when the creator of Basic Function, Mickey and Dave, met in high school. After the huge success of their first collabaration together, Free Refills Magazine, they were eager to learn more about Design, Print, Motion, Programming, and new media. After graduating college and landing high ranking positions in their respective fields, Mickey, Dave, and new recruit Diana, decided they wanted to create once again... Basic Function was born.
During 2003-2004 Basic Function developed an award winning flash portfolio that showcased some of the work they have been working on. Starting January 1st, 2005 decided to create a blog/portfolio/showcase/tutorial website that acts as an extension from the flash site. This way Mickey, Dave, and Diana can all update the page with ease and also report, rant, rave, and create content daily. We look forward to creating a site that you visit daily to get anything from the latest Multimedia news to our in house photoshop brushes. We all have full-time jobs in our respected fields, so it makes it hard to update, but we're trying here..we're trying...
